The Board of Directors of the Santa Fe Children’s Museum, a non-profit organization serving the Santa Fe community since 1985, has announced the appointment of Michael Hare, as its new executive director. The selection was made after an extensive national search and selection process.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Santa Fe Children’s Museum, I am delighted to welcome Michael Hare as the new executive director,” said Board Chair Sally Mittler. “Michael’s wealth of experience and demonstrated leadership as well as his commitment to the Santa Fe community ensures SFCM’s success as we continue to move forward and evolve.“
A Santa Fe parent and resident for nearly twenty years, Michael has served on the board of numerous local cultural and youth organizations, and is currently on the board of directors for Santa Fe Concorso. Michael’s professional experience in both the private and non-profit sectors includes growing organizations, increasing contributed & earned income, developing community & programming partnerships, and financial & operational management. He recently served as Chief Operating Officer for the Film Society of Lincoln Center in NYC. “The last two years we have focused on strengthening SFCM’s foundation and with Michael’s unique skill-set we are now prepared to flourish,” said Mittler.
