Community Access Program
At the Santa Fe Children’s Museum we give special credence to the adage that it takes a village to raise a child, and we’re working hard to build bridges in our community where none existed before. Through collaborations with organizations that have a broad community reach, institutions like ours are in a unique position to provide thousands of children every year with supplemental educational opportunities that positively reinforce a love of learning and the value of healthy social interactions.
The Community Access Program seeks to address the lack of educational support and beneficial services available to children in the region by improving accessibility, promoting awareness of resources, and fostering a love of learning and community. This is accomplished through the following three program subcategories:
- Title 1 Field Trip Program: Provides free field trips to Title 1 New Mexico Public Schools
- Monthly Birthday Party Program: Provides free birthday parties to at-risk children
- Foster Family Membership Program: Provides free family memberships to active foster families and recent adopters
These programs were made possible through generous donations by the Lineberry Foundation and the Santa Fe Chapter of the Awesome Foundation, but in order to sustain them, we need your help. Whether you have $1 to spare, or lots of dollars, you can help make a difference in the lives of children and families in Northern New Mexico.
