Seeds and Sprouts March Activities
This Month’s Theme is Botony! (The Study of Plants)
Every Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30pm
March 2nd – We’ll be reading, Plants Can’t Sit Still, then there will be a scavenger hunt in our 1.5 acre garden for different types of seeds! Children will have the opportunity to make a discovery book of what they find.
March 9th – We’ll be using fun sensory activities to learn about botany, and children will examine flowers under a microscope.
March 16th – We’ll be learning how to plant seeds and will discuss what seeds and plants need to grow. Children will get to plant seeds in pots and will even get to take one home with them.
March 23rd – We’ll be playing with lavender-scented and rose-scented play-dough using flower nomenclature cards to help kids learn the anatomy of a flowers.
March 30th – We’ll be painting with flowers and a taking a walk through our 1.5 acre garden.
