The Santa Fe Children’s Museum offers many opportunities for children to continue their learning when school is out! Campers are enchanted by our weekly themes and educated through art, science, and play each day!
This jam-packed program includes STEAM activities led by our experienced museum educators, special private playtimes both inside and out, and special community guests!
(AGES 5 – 8)
Week 1 (June 12th-16th) – Prehistoric Planet Explorers– Travel through time to a world before humans: Investigate prehistoric plant life, find fossils, learn about lava, and follow ancient tracks on this geological journey.
Week 2 (June 19th-June 23rd) – Underwater Explorers– Leave land behind: Examine all aspects of the hydrosphere. Create your own coral reef, put wheels on a whale, dig for shark teeth and see with a snorkel as we dive into deep fun.
Week 3 (June 26th-June 30th) – Forest Explorers– Climb new heights of knowledge and imagination as we unearth the magic world of the forest floor and its folklore. Discover new species, make shelter, forage food, and wildcraft fairy crowns as we study this stunning biome and its woodland fantasy worlds.
Week 4 (July 10th-14th) – Outer Space Explorers– 3-2-1 Blast off! An out of this world expedition to learn about stars, galaxies, and worlds beyond our own. Excavate Ice orbs, fabricate a model spacecraft and design your own astronaut attire as we gravitate towards understanding the immensity and beauty of our universe.
Week 5 (July 17th-21st) – Lego Explorers– Let’s go Legos! Unleash your inner engineer as we learn with Legos. Make machines that move, design your dream house, get technical with gears and pose for minifig portraits as you become a Lego Master brick by brick.
Week 6 (July 24th-28th) – Pirate Explores– Prepare for peril as we embark on an adventure across the seven seas. Sharpen your sword, and your skills, as we build boats, track treasure, curate costumes, and put on our own pirate play! Children’s theater coach, Abby Cole, joins us every afternoon to bring our swashbuckling stories to life.
Week 7 (July 31st – Aug. 4th)- Robot Explorers– Join us young humans! Your “Human” educators will show you how to dress, move and act like a robot! We will draft metallic masterpieces, make motors move, create code, and battle robo-bugs for an exciting experience into the nuts and bolts of robotics.
Monday through Friday, 9 am – 3 pm
Drop-off starts at 8:45 am & pick-up is until 3:15 pm
AFTERCARE: $12.50 per day/per camper
Available daily from 3 pm – 5:30 pm. All registered parents will receive a registration link to purchase their After Care Session(s).
*All sessions must be pre-paid prior to camp. There will be no day-of or in-person transactions available.*
$375 per child/per week
All parent(s) must review the 2023 Summer Camp Operations Guide and sign the Acknowledgement & Consent Form on the first day of Camp.
The deadline to apply for a summer camp scholarship has passed and all current applications are currently under review.
Santa Fe Children’s Museum is CDC-compliant and has made changes to keep you, your family, and our staff safe and healthy. Some of the new operations include adjustments to our hours of operation, admission, exhibit availability, occupancy, upgrades to our HVAC & air purification systems, and more.
Additionally, we will continue to monitor and modify all recommendations to ensure that all visitors have a comfortable experience at the Santa Fe Children’s Museum. At the heart of all the policy that SFCM is abiding by is the mission to keep all of your campers and our staff healthy and safe.
We remain committed to delivering a fun and educational camp experience for all!
Parents will drop off through the main entrance of the Museum between 8:45 am – 9 am. Parents must escort their camper into the building and sign them in each day.
*NEW* Pick-Up Location: Due to our exciting Backyard renovation, Parents will now pick up campers from our Sculpture Garden located in front of our Museum Office Entrance Campers who have pre-registered for Aftercare are picked up using the main entrance and will sign out at the front desk.
