Test hypotheses and make discoveries as a Science Explorer. Dream big during Imagination Explorers camp, and get dirty in the great outdoors during Nature Explorers camp! Each week of camp is full of daily private playtimes (inside and out), community guests, games, science experiments, art projects, and more!

Week 1 (June 9th–13th) – Art Explorers

Sharpen your pencils and ready your paint brushes for a week of art exploration! Try your hand with new mediums and materials to create one of a kind artworks. Blow us away with your creations as you sculpt, paint, and draw your way through the week, then celebrate with an end of week art exhibit in our classroom space.

Week 2 (June 16th–June 20th) – Science Explorers

Put your hypotheses to the test for a week in the lab! Explore daily experiments to discover the marvels of the world around us. Bottle tornadoes, filter water, and learn how science is a part of our everyday lives! Join guest teachers from STEM Santa Fe for a hands-on STEAM workshop.

Week 3 (July 14th–July 18th) -Imagination Explorers

Dream big in this imagination-fueled week! Bring your wildest ideas to life as you tackle STEAM challenges inspired by your favorite stories and fables: build a house that can’t be blown down, perfect potions, design a fairy village, and make a masquerade mask. Enjoy a favorite story on the big screen with a movie screening at CCA.

Week 4 (July 21st–25th) – Nature Explorers

Plan for Play

Santa Fe Children’s Museum is CDC-compliant and since March 2020 has made changes to keep you, your family, and our staff safe and healthy. Some of the new operations include; encouraging staff/youth mentors/volunteers to be vaccinated, being outdoors as much as possible, adjustments to exhibit availability, upgrades to our HVAC system, and a purchase of new hospital-grade air purification system.

As of February 17, 2022, New Mexico does not require face masks in all indoor spaces. This policy applies to our guests, staff, and volunteers. However, everyone may continue to wear a mask to protect themselves and others from getting COVID-19. If you feel more comfortable with your child wearing a mask, that is ok! Masks must be provided from home.

We will continue to monitor and modify all recommendations to ensure that all visitors have a comfortable experience at the Santa Fe Children’s Museum. At the heart of all the policies of SFCM is abiding by the mission to keep all of your campers and staff are equitably healthy and safe.

We remain committed to delivering a fun and educational camp experience for all!

  • We are happy to make reasonable accommodations for individuals upon request, whether the request is made by the individual or, in the case of a child, by their parent or guardian. • These accommodations are not limited to urgent or emergency situations. The Santa Fe Children’s Museum will assess each request individually and will consider each case based on its specific circumstances, without imposing any blanket restrictions on the types of accommodations that can be made.
