Blue Mist Spirea (Caryopteris clandonensis)

Introducing the Blue Mist Spirea! This fluffy shrub is adorned with tiny, bright blue flowers that resemble a soft cloud of mist. It creates a vibrant gathering spot for nature’s friends: bees, colorful butterflies, and tiny hummingbirds frequently visit this plant to enjoy a sweet snack. In New Mexico, the Blue Mist Spirea is considered a local hero. Alongside its companions, Rabbitbrush and Autumn Sage, it plays a vital role in supporting pollinators, as these plants thrive abundantly throughout the state.
