Sunflower Mobile and Medical Clinic LLC, a women-owned health care provider that aims to bridge gaps in underserved areas, took the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce’s top award last week.
Named the chamber’s Business of the Year during a 2025 Business Achievement Awards celebration Thursday night at the Scottish Rite Center, 463 Paseo de Peralta, the mobile clinic serves patients 18 and over in its clinic, through a mobile service and via telemedicine.
“Sunflower Mobile & Medical Clinic ensures that even the most remote communities have access to the support they need to thrive,” Sunflower says on its website.
More than 500 people gathered Thursday for the chamber’s circus-themed award celebration, where performers from Wise Fool New Mexico entertained the crowd.
More than 90 nominations were submitted for the awards, “representing a wide range of industries, missions and contributions to the Santa Fe community,” the chamber said in a news release.
“These honorees aren’t just business leaders — they are dreamers, builders, mentors and change-makers who help shape the future of Santa Fe through their dedication, courage and creativity,” the statement said.
Receiving Business Excellence Awards in three categories based on employee numbers were Fahrenheit Work Metals LLC, Paseo Pottery and Del Norte Credit Union.
Reflective Jewelry was the named the Green Business of the Year, and the Family-Friendly Business of the Year award went to the Santa Fe Children’s Museum.
Libélula Financial was named the Woman-Owned Business of the Year, and La Fonda Foundation earned the Non-Profit Business of the Year award.
The Nancy Rodriguez Champion for Change award, which recognizes individuals who exemplify advocacy and innovation for positive change, went to Tony and Erika Potterof It All Matters Inc., an accessible martial arts training program in Santa Fe.
The program serves people with cognitive or developmental disabilities and physical restrictions, as well as those who have experienced emotional and physical abuse, its website says.
“We encourage the community to support these inspiring businesses and organizations, whose contributions continue to shape the future of Santa Fe,” the chamber said in a statement.
