2019 Summer Explorer Camp

Join the fun this summer!

Five days a week | 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. 

Each week has a different STEAM theme!

July 8-12:    "Aquanauts"

Construct your very own fan-powered Swamp Racer boat and race it in the Aquanaut Olympics. Learn to safely cut, drill, solder, and glue. Dive deep into the fascinating science of watercraft and explore water on earth and in space through the Stargazer Planetarium and other awesome aquanautic adventures. Camper groups for ages 6-8 and 9-12.

July 15- 19:    "Biosphere Builders"

Craft a self-contained world for your new pet fish and snail. Learn to safely solder together an air pump and light for your biosphere aquarium. Study the elements of our atmosphere and the biology of our planet through exciting hands-on explorations and Stargazer Planetarium. Camper groups for ages 6-8 and 9-12.

July 22-26:    "Make it Fly"

Enjoy experimenting with the fun physics of flight! Younger aeronauts age 6-8 will make and fly Parachute Sky Balls and construct a Cone Cannon that shoots paper cones over 50 feet. Campers age 9-12 will build an impressive rocket and launcher system that can shoot rockets 400 feet into the air! Fly to the outer rings of our solar system and beyond in the Stargazer Planetarium. Camper groups for ages 6-8 and 9-12.

July 29- August 2:  "Space Spies"

Build your own Black Light Lantern to solve mysteries at the museum. Reveal secret codes, rock hunt for glowing minerals and paint your own glow-in-the-dark mystery masterpiece. Explore the science of light, darkness, and gravity as you skim the edge of a Black Hole in our Stargazer Planetarium. Campers groups for ages 6-8 and 9-12





$265 per child (ages 6-12) *Limited Scholarships Available*
