Grow a Seedling DIY Activity:

  • Begin by removing the lid from the egg carton, and poking a hole at the bottom of each cup so there is somewhere for the extra moisture to drain.
  • Fill each cup with a little bit of potting soil and one to two seeds.
  • Once the seedlings start to sprout and they're about four inches tall you can transfer them to your garden.
  • Transferring them is simple, you can either use a spoon to gently lift out each seedling, or just widen the holes at the bottom of the cups and plant them directly into the soil with the carton.
