At the Santa Fe Children’s Museum we are always looking for new volunteers to engage with visitors of all ages, work in our Earthworks Garden, or help out in our gift shop
Visitor Services and Engagement: The Santa Fe Children’s Museum is looking for volunteers to engage with visitors on the exhibit floor and facilitate playful experiences with visitors of all ages.
Educational Programs Assistant: The Santa Fe Children’s Museum is looking for volunteers to assist with facilitation during school and community group visits and/or outreach events.
Special Activities Facilitator: Help us provide engaging educational activities! The Santa Fe Children’s Museum seeks volunteers who are interested in sharing and developing activities related to a specific area of interest or study. Teach yoga to toddlers or develop hands on science/art activities to facilitate in the museum. Santa Fe Children’s Museum staff will assist with the development of the activity and provide training in our educational philosophy.
Earthworks Garden Assistant: Come help us beautify our garden for the kids! Santa Fe Children’s Museum is looking for volunteers to assist with maintenance of the Earthworks Garden. Tasks might include raking, sweeping, shoveling snow, weeding, tending compost, assisting with starting seeds, caring for seedlings in our greenhouse, transplanting seedlings and starts, harvesting, pruning, assisting with garden programming for kids, etc.
Gift Shop: Volunteer to work in our gift shop! If you are 18 years or older and have experience with cash register sales, customer service and stocking we would love your help in our gift shop.
To be a volunteer at the Santa Fe Children’s Museum
- Must be 15 years or older
- Pass a background check if over the age of 18
- Participate in a volunteer orientation
