My internship at the Children’s Museum is truly an experience that I will never forget. The staff was so enthusiastic about what they were doing and the children were so excited to be there. The positivity exuding from the museum is infectious and I got bit with the bug. I really feel like I was part of something greater because there was a clear objective of every task a staff member had me complete. You’re not picking weeds here, you’re building a garden and the children can see this and respond in a way that feels magical. There is a volunteering opportunity for everyone here and I hope all of you choose to work at a place that has so greatly influenced how I think and feel about the world around me.Missing the Museum,
Izzy Thomas (May 2018)
