Originally from Québec, Canada, Maryse Lapierre is a French tutor, singer-accordionist and harmonium player and along with singer-songwriter-guitarist-violist Alicia Ultan, half of the Albuquerque-based musical duo Bébé La La who have recently released their first album “High Wire”.
Maryse facilitates regular classes in Whole Toning, her own system of integral practice through breath, voice, and movement- a synthesis of her experience with professional singing and performing, energy work, voice training, yoga, dance, theater and kirtan.
Maryse loves working with children, especially around music. She’s a storyteller and music educator for the Stories in the Sky and Music in the Sky weekly series at the Albuquerque Balloon Museum. She is a registered Music Together® teacher. She’s the director of Harmonic Kids (FamJam) in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
