Butterfly Bush (Buddleja davidii)
The Butterfly Bush has long flowers that look like colorful ice cream cones to bugs and hummingbirds! These flowers have deep tubes filled with sweet nectar, making them perfect for butterflies and bees with long tongues that can reach deep inside. This special plant can even attract the Two-Tailed Swallowtail, the official butterfly of New Mexico. Watch closely, and you might see these beautiful winged friends fluttering around the bush.
